Pure energy is installing our first Swedish Designed Solar Carport

Pure energy has recently been awarded a contract to install a solar carport together with battery energy storage and EV charging facilities for a private client based in Wiltshire, England.

Carport Features;

• Designed in compliance with Swedish environmental design standards
• Bi-facial, glass-glass black frame photovoltaic panels
• Screw foundation made from recycled metal
• Structure in glue laminated wood
• Utilises special mounting system to create a waterproof structure

By utilising bi-facial panels, additional energy production is possible via both direct sunlight and indirect sunlight reflecting from ground level, increasing solar efficiency and improving return on investment.

We will also be using recycled metal screw type carport foundations, which offers significant installation benefits for carport on-site installation with positive environmental gains, including;

• Installed quickly and easily without the need for excavation or concrete pouring
• Provides strong and stable foundations for the carport structure
• Reduced labour costs during carport installation activity
• No maintenance required post installation

This unique solar carport structure is constructed from laminated wood products that continue to store CO2 throughout their useful life, providing a renewable and sustainable alternative to steel towers.

Site planning permission was approved by Wiltshire Council during 2023 and the solar carport project is now in formal development phase.
