Waste to Energy

Waste to Energy

The Challenge

The Solution

  • Plastic and oil recycling technology.
  • Pure energy has partnered with BioFabrik GmbH to offer their Waste to Energy WASTX Plastic Technology.
  • Watch the video here
  • A mobile container-based solution, decentralised plant process for plastic waste or production residues.
  • Efficient Installation – scale up as needed.
  • Minimal logistics costs with local added value.
  • Converts up to 5000 Kg of plastic waste (polyolefin fraction) per day – into a cost-effective usable fuel.
  • Product used in energy generation or further refined into condensates for sustainable plastic production.

More plastic usage with fewer resources

The WASTX System transforms plastic waste from landfills and oceans into industrial raw materials and clean energy;

Use of electricity and heat

Optional generator optimized for the processing of pyrolysis distillates in stand-alone operation.

Decentralised container design

WASTX Plastic modules installed in 20-ft or 40-ft Containers.

Cutting mill and silo

Substrate automatically added to achieve process efficiency.

“WASTX” Technology

List of Processable Plastic Material

BioFabrik “WASTX” Processable Materialsn

The BioFabrik “WASTX” compacting application system for light and liquid substrates comprises continuous compact pyrolysis with patented multi-zone heating system, capable of processing the following polymer based materials;

  1. High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE), sometimes called “alkathene” or “polythene”
  2. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE), a thermoplastic derived from the monomer “ethylene”
  3. Polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic “addition polymer”, belongs to the group of “polyolefins”  made from the combination of propylene monomers

These material groups are used in a variety of applications including packaging for consumer products, plastic parts for various industries, typically;

  • Containers e.g. IBCs, plates, foils
  • Injection moulded parts of packaging, household goods or technical articles
  • Foils – e.g. cling films, carrier bags, etc.
  • Agricultural foils, milk carton-coatings, refuse sacks and shrink films
  • Interior fittings of passenger cars, dashboards, battery housings, crash absorbers, child seats, bicycle helmets
  • Transformer housings, wire and cable sheaths
  • Insulating foils e.g. pipelines, cups, bottle closures
  • Internal parts for dishwashers, thermos-transport boxes
  • Boil-proof films, reusable containers
  • Packaging parts, drinking straws, adhesive films
  • Plastic banknotes e.g. the Australian dollar
  • PP fibres e.g. home textiles, carpets, sports textiles, packaging materials
  • Hygiene products e.g. medical products, floatable ropes, geotextiles
