Pure energy (REGen) Ltd is pleased to announce that we have recently joined the UK Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA).

The association is the focal point for the UK ground source energy industry, encouraging sector growth and development of the ground source heat pump industry by:

• promoting efficient and sustainable use of ground source heat pumps
• raising awareness of the benefits of ground source heat pump installations
• developing ground source installation standards
• encouraging high level industry training standards  
• providing a forum for information interchange
• liaising with related organisations to benefit the ground source industry
• representing industry in matters of local, national and international interest to members

The GSHPA also acts as an advocate for members by actively engaging with Government and key decision makers to support cost effective and efficient solutions for industry, businesses and communities by:

• Developing policies which places energy user’s needs first
• Delivering a local, low carbon heating system at lowest cost
• Ensuring better understanding of heating and cooling, which currently makes up half our energy use
• Promoting an integrated ‘internet of heat’ approach
• Helping users manage energy demand to curb the need for new generation capacity
• Strengthening the ground source energy industry’s reputation through published GSHP standards and best practice

An organisation bringing knowledge and experience together

The GSHPA brings together over 160 members and interested parties from across the heat pump installation industry to develop a strong, dynamic and sustainable environment for heating and cooling systems based on heat capture, heat storage and heat transfer, including heat sharing networks and demand side management.

During the recent All-Energy Exhibition and Conference 2024 held in Glasgow, Pure energy (REGen) Ltd met fellow GSHPA members to discuss practical steps needed to increase deployment and thereby market share of ground source heat networks in the UK.
