2025 has seen the Pure energy team actively engaging with some of the most exciting and impactful events in the clean tech and sustainability space across the UK. From trade shows filled with the latest innovations to panel discussions on net-zero policy at international climate summits, these events offer a front-row seat to the rapidly-evolving world of sustainable technology and climate emission reduction strategy. From invitations to showcase our award-winning low carbon heat technology, to marketing our cleantech products and advisory services, we continued to demonstrate our commitment to low-carbon innovation and net-zero leadership;

The year began with invitations by Scottish Enterprise and DNV Kantar Advisory respectively to exhibit and deliver a Technology Spotlight Presentation at both the “Clean Heat” event, Glasgow, and “Bridging the Gap to Net Zero” event, London, focused on our experience gained within the intersection of low carbon heat technology, investment and risk.
We also joined an impressive lineup at All-Energy event at SEC, Glasgow—where we were thrilled to accept an Innovation Zone Award for our EnergyBox™ heat technology product.
One of the most striking takeaways from these gatherings is both the scale and diversity of the clean energy movement. Renewable energy is no longer the niche domain of early adopters—it’s a global imperative, driven by a shared urgency to address climate change, energy security, and economic resilience.

Whether engaging with solar PV or Battery Storage related manufacturers at the Solar and Storage event, at London Excel earlier this year or participating in policy update sessions with fellow delegates at the London Climate Innovation Forum recently held, the consensus was clear: the energy transition is well underway, there is no going back.
The various exhibitions we attended have consistently showcased cutting-edge technologies—many of which will define the next decade. From modular solid-state battery technology, bifacial solar panels and power over ethernet (PoE) DC power networks to AI-optimised energy management platforms, the energy industry is undergoing a technological renaissance. We are witnessing unveiling of smart grid systems that communicate in real time and heat pump systems that promise efficiencies unimaginable only five years ago.

Though it’s not just about hardware. Software and data analytics are playing a growing role in how energy is generated, stored, distributed, and consumed. Startups and established firms alike are investing in tools that allow consumers and businesses to optimise their energy usage, reduce bills, and shrink their carbon footprints.
Climate forums tend to focus less on the technology and more on the systemic, policy-driven changes urgently needed to support decarbonisation while emphasising the importance for businesses, governments, and communities to work together. I’ve heard from community energy groups, the struggle for funding as well as grid network access.

A recurring theme is the need for stable, long-term policies that encourage investment in renewables. Feed-in tariffs, net metering schemes, carbon pricing—these are more than bureaucratic tools; they’re enablers of innovation. When the policy environment is clear and supportive, investment follows.
Successfully achieving the transition to net zero requires we make clean energy resilient as well as commercially and technologically viable. I left these roundtable discussions with renewed optimism that this is not only necessary, but achievable.

Pure energy has won the Innovation Zone Award 2025 for the EnergyBox™
The data tells us that without sufficient climate action there are very real physical risks facing the UK and Europe’s energy infrastructure from a changing climate. Conversations highlighted the fact that a wide range of institutions and organisations are already grappling with how to embed resilience into the roll-out of clean energy. There was also notable interest in finding new ways of working together in the face of the climate resilience challenge.
Despite the evident optimism and innovation, these forums and exhibitions are never short on realism. Grid congestion, lack of skilled labour, planning delays, and public resistance to infrastructure projects are common challenges echoed across the board. There’s also an awareness that while renewable energy is vital, it must be paired with deep energy efficiency measures, sustainable land use, and equitable access to the benefits of the transition.

Furthermore, the geopolitical context—such as the global supply chain for critical minerals—has added new layers of complexity. Forums increasingly host discussions about ethical sourcing, circular economy models, and the resilience of energy systems in times of crisis.
Attending these events has reaffirmed that progress in the renewables sector isn’t just measured in megawatts installed, but in the growing community of engineers, entrepreneurs, activists, and policymakers committed to real change. These spaces foster dialogue, build partnerships, and drive momentum. From policy roundtables and panel sessions to technology showcases and investor meetings, every interaction reaffirmed that we are not only part of the energy transition—we are helping shape it.

From high-profile industry expos such as Solar & Storage Live, Everything Electric, Installer Show (our EnergyBox™ product featured in the InstallerINVENT Zone) and Reset Connect, London to future-focused forums including Innovation Zero, Climate Innovation Forum, and Zurich’s Resilience Solutions Roundtable during London Climate Action Week, the momentum behind clean energy has only gotten stronger. We proudly exhibited at the GCV Symposium and Surrey Homebuilding & Renovating Show.
Pure energy was invited to Power Up North London’s 10th Anniversary Celebration and exclusive preview of the RHS Chelsea Exhibition by Gaze Burvill Ltd, a testament to the added value in today’s sustainable outdoor lifestyle design.
