Electrical Project Engineer
We are searching for a reliable, detail-orientated Electrical Project Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be someone with a MSc/BSc Degree with minimum 3-4 years’ relevant industry experience since graduating and looking to transition into the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities include reviewing all engineering design plans, performing electrical calculations, designing and constructing electrical systems and their components, liaising and maintaining relationships with clients, technical partners and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing project related budgets within your discipline, and will be expected to spend an amount of time on site as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing technical drawings, interpreting client specifications, and determining the electrical requirements for a variety of allocated projects.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.
- Ensuring our Company health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Complete quality assurance verification function on all electrical components for allocated projects.
- Use software applications to produce electrical designs as applicable.
- Analysing and approving various construction and engineering plans.
- Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment faults.
- Responsible for ensuring all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met.
- Liaising with technical partners as well as clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience:
Essential:
- MSc/BSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-4 years (minimum) relevant experience in project management of LV/HV electrical systems and installations.
- Previous experience within the Power Generation/Renewable Energy sector.
- 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Excellent electrical design and diagnostic skills.
- Prepared to travel within the role.
- Valid full UK driver’s licence.
Desirable:
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest and/or knowledge of the renewable energy and electric vehicle transportation sector.
Electrical Project Engineer Position Remuneration:
- £35-40,000/annum – Experience dependent/Negotiable
- Full Time – Mon – Fri
- 20 Days holiday plus Statutory bank holidays (Scotland) per annum
- Pension
